Eco-building Club Award
Reinforcing technology innovation transfer in the building sector
EBC Award is designed within the European Eco-building Club (EBC) project, aiming at promoting the taking-up of European research results and innovative technologies in the building sector.
EBC Award is dedicated to best pre-feasibility studies developed by EBC members. To be eligible, studies need to concern technologies developed with EC or national public support funds. Overall objective is to promote energy saving, use of renewable energies and to encourage replication of demonstration projects in the building sector. A template is available for applicants.
One study will be awarded in each project partner country. In addition, three international prizes will be allocated to the best national ones.
The evaluation process will be conducted by a scientific commission gathering a maximum of 12 members (2 members per partner project country). As specified in the European Commission contract, the University of Genoa – POLIS, independent body from the project, will chair the commission.
EBC award applicant shall submit its pre-feasibility study to the corresponding national project partner(s) by the end of August 2009.
Awards will be given during International and National project promotion events. In addition to the official ceremony, results will be disseminated through Eco-Building Club project website (www.ecobuilding-club.net).
It is expected that, being a member of the Eco-Building Club and having the opportunity to be awarded will encourage international networks and support market deployment for innovative technologies in the building sector.
Based on the evaluation of all the submitted studies made by the scientific commission of the ‘Eco-building Club Award’, the following pre-feasibility studies have been awarded at national and international level, respectively.
